NATURE IS NOT A RUBBISH DUMP

Cadastre of the village Párnica extends into the Malá Fatra National Park. The Orava River (protected area) flows through Párnica. It has been included in the List of Specially Protected Nature Areas of the Slovak Republic since 1997 and it is in the 4th level of protection. Despite these facts, we are indifferent to the environment in which we live and where we are at the moment. Waste has been accumulating around the Párnica Lakes for years, not only in the container that has been placed there for several years, but also around it and in the immediate vicinity of the lakes. The municipality removed the container a few years ago and cleaned up the surrounding area.

Today, residents have several legal and free options to "get rid" of their waste. Nevertheless, the municipality spends € 20,000 a year on waste collection, removal and disposal. Until when? Probably until one generation is replaced by people who care about where they and their children live.

Thank you for being one of them.
